Mrs. Thompson
Welcome, first graders! I’m very excited to get to know all of you. I have been at Union Park since 2023 and I look forward to meeting you. My goal is to equip you with the proper knowledge and skills for success throughout the school year.
I grew up in Ramona, CA, and moved to El Centro, CA, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Services at The University of Phoenix. I did my internship in some 1st-grade classes, and it was there that I fell in love with teaching. I then moved to Arizona in 2015 and taught early child care for three years. I consider myself to be a consistent, firm, and caring teacher. My approach is to keep my students accountable and apply positive affirmations as much as possible.
I am married to a very supportive husband and have three wonderful children. We love to travel and find activities to do as a family, including our favorites, such as traveling to the beach and visiting a museum. My hobbies include hiking, reading, and spending time with my family.
