Hello Second Grade! I am very excited to start the 2024-2025 school year with you! This is my 5th year at Union Park in the Second Grade Spanish Immersion program, and my 10th year in Deer Valley Unified School District. I also coach the Middle School Boys and Girls Volleyball teams at UP.
My family and I are from Lima, Ohio, but we moved out here when I was 4 years old, so I have been here most of my life. We travel back to Ohio all of the time! I started school in the Deer Valley School District in 5th Grade at Canyon Springs, and graduated from Boulder Creek High School (Go Jags!). I graduated from Arizona State University in May 2020, with a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education (Go Sun Devils!). I love spending my free time reaching my yearly reading goal (this year is 42 books), spending time outdoors when it isn't crazy hot, and spending time with my husband Mr. Toups, Beagle named Bindi and Black Lab named Toby Keith :)
I have greatly enjoyed my time at Union Park, and can't wait to continue learning with a new group of students this year! I can't wait to meet everyone!
