I am so excited about being your child's 5th grade English language arts teacher. I am thrilled to be able to teach in such an amazing community. I look forward to creating meaningful memories this year!

My educational journey…
I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University in 2010. I then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading and Literacy from Walden University in 2013. I have previously taught first and third grade. Prior to joining the Union Park Family, I was an instructional coach for teachers in second through sixth grade, special areas, and gifted at another DVUSD school. Through this role, I was able to work closely with teachers and other education professionals to improve instruction and help students achieve mastery of the Arizona State Standards.
A little about me…
I was born in Lakewood, California, but moved to Arizona at the age of three. I absolutely love living in the Sonoran Desert! I have been married to my husband Jason for 22 years. In 2021, our son graduated from Sandra Day O’Connor High School in the DVUSD district.
A few of my favorite things…
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family. We love traveling, watching football, and making memories.
My hopes…
I am hopeful that together we can help your child make meaningful memories that will ignite their passion for learning. I truly believe that all students can learn and together we can ensure that they learn at high levels.
