Technology Information

Technology, Students and Expectations

Deer Valley School District is 1:1 student to technology. Students in kindergarten have iPads available while grades 1-3 have a classroom set of Chromebooks. These devices stay on campus. Students in grades 4-8 have a Chromebook assigned to them for the school year. They will carry the device and power cord in their backpack. Devices should always be fully changed and ready for work when on campus. Parents may purchase the Optional Device Protection Plan for $25/school year. Parents permit student usage via the Internet User Agreement located in the Student Rights and Responsibilities handbook.

***Once your child(ren) receive their device(s), parents and guardians have 3 weeks to purchase the Optional Device Protection Plan for $25.00.

This is only optional for students in grades 4-12. There is no need for students in grades K-3 to purchase.

Maintaining and Troubleshooting Technology

Older students with devices assigned to them should learn to update their devices as needed and troubleshoot when issues arise. Below are some files that can help students and parents. Devices with issues that cannot be resolved should be brought to the Library Media Center.

Optional Device Protection Plan

This is only optional for students in grades 4-High School. There is no need for students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade to purchase.
